Jarlife Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Jarlife ("the game") is a mobile game developed by Danila Rassokhin ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: [email protected].

The short version

Information the game handles

Game progress

Your jar, Life, Seeds, Codex and settings are saved only on your device. We can't see them, and uninstalling the game deletes them.

Analytics: Google Firebase Analytics

The game records gameplay events, such as merging creatures, discovering a new creature, starting a season, claiming a daily gift or watching a rewarded video, along with your current season and Seed count. Firebase adds:

We use this to balance the game and to find and fix problems. It isn't used to identify you personally.

Crash reports: Google Firebase Crashlytics

If the game crashes or hits an error, it sends a report with the technical details of the error, the device model, operating system version and a random installation identifier. We use it only to fix bugs.

Game settings from our server: Google Firebase Remote Config

At launch the game downloads balance settings from Firebase. This request includes an installation identifier and basic device information.

Advertising: Appodeal and its partners

The game shows ads, including optional rewarded videos, through Appodeal, which works with other ad networks to fill ads. To show ads, cap how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, Appodeal and these partners may collect:

Personalised ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), the game asks for your consent before ads are personalised, using a consent form based on Google's User Messaging Platform. Where these laws apply (the EEA, the UK and US states with privacy laws), you can change your choice or opt out at any time in the game under Settings → Privacy choices. On iOS, the game asks for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency, and you can change this in your device's settings. If you don't agree, you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your interests.

The ad networks that can serve ads in the game through Appodeal are AppLovin, BidMachine, Digital Turbine (DT Exchange), ironSource (Unity), Liftoff (Vungle), Meta Audience Network, Mintegral, Moloco and Unity Ads. Links to their privacy policies are under Sharing below.

Measuring our own ads: Singular

We advertise Jarlife in other apps and on websites (for example through AppLovin). To learn which of these ads led to an install, and whether those players enjoy the game, the game uses Singular, an attribution service. Singular receives:

Singular follows the choice you make in the consent form described above: where the law requires consent (for example in the EEA and the UK) and you don't give it, Singular isn't started at all. If you opted out of the sale or sharing of your information, it limits what is shared with advertising partners. Changing your choice in Settings → Privacy choices applies to Singular too.

Notifications

If you allow them, reminders (for example "Your pouch is full") are scheduled on your device. Nothing about them is sent to a server. You can turn them off in the game's Settings or in your device settings.

What the game doesn't access

The game doesn't access your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location, and doesn't use any login.

Why we process this information

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers described above: Google (Firebase), Appodeal and the ad networks that serve ads through it, and Singular. They process it on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies:

We don't sell your personal information for money. Some US state laws treat sharing information for personalised ads as a "sale" or "sharing"; you can opt out through Settings → Privacy choices or your device's ad settings.

These providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States, with safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where they apply.

How long information is kept

Your choices and rights

Children

Jarlife is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game and you want their data deleted, contact us and we'll help.

Security

Information sent by the game travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we only work with established providers and keep the information we handle to a minimum.

Changes to this policy

When the game's data practices change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's release notes.
