Dance CATharsis
Privacy Policy
Dance CATharsis (the “game”) is made by Danila Rassokhin, trading as HiddenProject, Yerevan, Armenia (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the game and the services built into it collect, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- The game has no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- Your progress (cats, Treats, Records, village) is saved only on your device.
- Three services built into the game receive device data: Appodeal (optional rewarded video ads), Singular (measuring where installs come from and how ads perform) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports).
- Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and some US states) the game asks for your consent before personalised ads and measurement start, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.
Data stored on your device
Your game progress and settings (language, sound, calibration) are stored locally on your phone. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes them.
Dance clips you make are saved to your gallery or shared only when you tap Save or Share, and only to the app you choose. We do not upload them anywhere.
Data collected by third-party services
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Appodeal and its advertising partners | Advertising ID, IP address, device model, operating system, language and country, mobile carrier, app version, and how you interact with ads (views, clicks, completions). | To show rewarded video ads that you choose to watch, measure them, prevent fraud and, if you consent, personalise them. |
| Singular | Advertising ID, App Set ID, IP address, device and OS information, Google Play install referrer, ad revenue from Appodeal, and a few game events: finishing a gig (song and stars), reaching a new Fame level, adopting a cat (how, and its rarity) and sharing a clip. | To find out which ads and stores bring players to the game (attribution) and how well our own marketing works. |
| Firebase Crashlytics (Google) | Crash and error reports: stack traces, device model, OS version, app version, free memory and disk space, and a random installation identifier. | To find and fix crashes. |
The game itself does not use location, the microphone, the camera or your contacts, and does not ask for those permissions.
Your consent and choices
- Consent form. If you are in a region where consent is required, a form from Google’s User Messaging Platform appears on first launch. Ads still work if you decline, but they are not personalised, and Singular does not start unless you have agreed to storing information on your device and to ad measurement.
- Change your mind. Open Settings → Privacy choices in the game at any time. The game stops or resumes Singular to match your new answer.
- US “Do Not Sell or Share”. If you opt out through the consent form, Singular is told to limit data sharing.
- Advertising ID. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Ads are optional. Every ad in the game is a rewarded video you start yourself. There are no banner or pop-up ads.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
We rely on your consent for personalised advertising and for attribution with Singular, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and secure for crash reporting and for non-personalised ads and fraud prevention.
How long data is kept
- Game progress: on your device until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- Crashlytics: crash reports are kept for 90 days.
- Appodeal and Singular: kept according to their own policies, linked below.
International transfers
These services may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. They use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the game and data was collected, contact us and we will help remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold an account or profile for you, most data is held by the services above, and the quickest route is often their own tools:
- Appodeal privacy policy: appodeal.com/privacy-policy
- Singular privacy policy and data requests: singular.net/privacy-policy
- Firebase privacy and security: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
You can also contact us and we will pass your request to them. You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the game’s release notes.
